The Virgin

The Virgin is a duo-band whose members are Indonesia Mitha (guitar) and Dara (vocals). This band was founded in late 2008 under the guidance of Ahmad Dhani. Their first single entitled "Forbidden Love" was released in 2009.

Formation
The Virgin is formed on the idea of musicians frontman Dewa 19, Ahmad Dhani. Starting from the song "Cinta Terlarang" Happy Paramitha Cameria creation, one female guitarist in the Rock, who accidentally heard Dhani in June 2008. Dhani also interested in the song and had the idea to record it in an album and sung in a duo.

Dhani which is one of the judges of talent search event Mamamia Show, and then fell in love with Dara Rizky Ruhiana, one contestant from Tasikmalaya. When commenting Dara, Dhani promised to take her to the kitchen if Dara failed recordings in Mamamia. In the round of 10, Dara finally died in the contest. Dhani also kept his promise and introduced by Mitha Dara. Finally at the end of 2008, Dara and officially formed the duo Mitha The Virgin.

Debut
In early 2009, The Virgin released their debut single entitled "Cinta Terlarang or Forbiden Love" which was created solely by Mitha. Their first single got rave music lovers and Indonesia Virgin immediate boost to the ranks of the famous group. On June 11, 2009, The Virgin with some newcomers band released a compilation album titled New Beginning 09 which also includes the single "Forbidden Love". Through the first single is The Virgin won 2 of 3 Inbox Awards nominations, namely as "Most Popular Newcomer Direquest" and "Oldest Video Clips in Position 1", while the nominations for the "NSP Seller" was won by the mayor. The Virign then held their first tour in 16 cities in Java and Sumatra. The Virgin debut album itself is still in the process of cultivation and ready to be launched later this year.

"Dara" The Virgin
Dara Rizki Ruhiana or better known as the Dara 'Mamamia' is now changed into the Virgin Dara (born in Tasikmalaya, 9 August 1991; age 16 years) is a finalist Mamamia Show 2008 with a pair Mama Nunung.
